* What is a DENIER?
A DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the thread from which stockings and tights are made.
The lower the denier number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stocking or panty. Conversely, the higher the number (40, 70, etc.), the thicker the skin and the less visible the skin.
On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights and pantyhose, in 50 and 100 denier, where the skin is barely visible. Their use is common in fall and winter.
Tights and pantyhose with a low denier count are typically used for the spring/summer season. The rest can be worn year-round, for example, for ceremonies, as the thinner design makes the stockings appear more elegant.
High numbers, 40, 70..., are usually used for autumn-winter.
